MHADA Lottery 2025: Golden Opportunity for Punekars as Affordable Homes Open in Talegaon Dabhade under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
For thousands of Pune residents who have long dreamed of owning a home within the city’s expanding urban landscape, the new MHADA Lottery 2025 brings renewed hope and opportunity. Pune, a growing hub of education, technology, and manufacturing, has witnessed steep increases in property prices over the past decade. For the city’s working class and lower-income families, homeownership has increasingly become a distant dream. In this context, the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has once again stepped forward with a practical, people-oriented initiative—offering 269 affordable homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Talegaon Dabhade.
This initiative reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to making housing accessible and inclusive for every citizen. Under the leadership of IAS Sanjeev Jaiswal, MHADA has strengthened its mission to provide affordable homes through transparent, efficient, and equitable processes. The launch of the Talegaon Dabhade project stands as a testament to that vision, representing a significant step toward ensuring that economic development translates into social progress and dignity for every household.
A Step Toward Inclusive Urban Development
The Talegaon Dabhade housing scheme is more than just a real estate project—it is a major social reform initiative aimed at bridging the urban housing divide. Located strategically near Pune, it offers both connectivity and convenience while maintaining affordability. The scheme comprises 269 homes, made available on a first come, first served basis, ensuring fair access for all eligible citizens. The sale advertisement was officially published on October 10, 2025, marking the beginning of the application process.
Fair Allocation Reflecting Social Equity
MHADA’s allocation ensures social balance and inclusivity. The total of 269 houses includes reserved portions for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Nomadic Tribes, and Deprived Castes, with the remaining units available for the general category. This structure reinforces MHADA’s inclusive policy approach and its commitment to equitable growth across communities.
Affordable Pricing with Government Support
Each home in the project is designed to meet both comfort and affordability standards. The total built-up area is 48.96 square meters, with a carpet area of 30.67 square meters—adequate for a small family’s essential needs. The base cost of each unit is set at ₹20,46,882. However, with subsidies of ₹1,50,000 from the Central Government and ₹1,00,000 from the State Government, the net price payable by the buyer reduces to ₹17,96,882. Including ground rent, taxes, and other minor charges, the total cost amounts to ₹18,15,507. For families earning below ₹3 lakh annually, this represents a rare and valuable opportunity to secure a permanent residence within the Pune Metropolitan Region.
Simple and Transparent Application Process
The application process will remain open from October 10 to December 31, 2025, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on working days. Applicants can obtain and submit their forms at the Pune Housing and Area Development Board office on Agarkar Road. The application cost is ₹600, plus ₹108 in GST, and an initial payment of ₹1,79,688 is required at the time of submission. The process is fully transparent and designed to minimize delays or confusion, encouraging citizens to act swiftly and responsibly.
