Western Railway has introduced a dedicated Special Weekly Train between Mumbai Central and Bhagat Ki Kothi to manage the sharp surge in holiday-season travel. Additional Capacity Through Eight Special Trips

According to Chief Public Relations Officer Shri Vineet Abhishek, the service will run as Train No. 09083/09084, operating a total of eight trips across December 2025 and early January 2026. These supplementary runs provide much-needed breathing room on a sector that sees sustained demand from business travellers, families and tourists moving between Maharashtra and Rajasthan.

By distributing these trips mid-week and near weekends, Western Railway aims to smoothen travel peaks rather than simply accommodate them, reflecting a strategic approach to supply-demand balancing.
 

Mumbai Central–Bhagat Ki Kothi Timetable

Train No. 09083, operating from Mumbai Central to Bhagat Ki Kothi, will depart every Wednesday at 23:10 hrs and reach its destination at 17:00 hrs the following day. This schedule is planned for 10th to 31st December 2025, offering four year-end departures. Overnight travel aligns well with passenger preferences, maximizing daytime utility and ensuring minimal disruption to daily routines.

In the reverse direction, Train No. 09084 will depart Bhagat Ki Kothi every Friday at 11:30 hrs and arrive in Mumbai Central at 04:20 hrs the next morning. These services will run from 12th December 2025 to 2nd January 2026, catering to travellers returning after holiday visits or extended breaks. The sequencing of Wednesday outbound and Friday inbound operations provides structural predictability that passengers can easily plan around.

Reservations for Train No. 09083 will open on 9 December 2025 across PRS counters as well as the IRCTC website.
