Railways Approves 3 New Daily Trains and 9 New Stoppages, Major Travel Boost for UP, MP, Gujarat and Maharashtra

The Indian Railways has approved several changes aimed at improving passenger connectivity across multiple states. The Railway Board has cleared three new train services, daily operations for select existing services, and nine additional stoppages on different routes.

The decisions are expected to give passengers more travel choices in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra, while also improving access to important stations along several routes. However, the approved services and stoppages will begin only after the concerned railway zones issue official implementation notifications.

New Kanpur to Anand Vihar Night Train to Benefit Aligarh Passengers

One of the major announcements is the approval of a new daily night train between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal. Train numbers 14153/14154 will provide an additional overnight travel option between Kanpur and Delhi-NCR.

The train will also stop at Aligarh, giving passengers in the city another convenient option for traveling toward Kanpur, Etawah and Delhi-NCR.

The 14153 Kanpur Central-Anand Vihar Terminal service will leave Kanpur Central at 8:40 p.m. and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:50 a.m. the following morning.

On the return journey, 14154 Anand Vihar Terminal-Kanpur Central will depart Anand Vihar at 11:25 p.m. and arrive at Kanpur Central at 7:25 a.m.

The train will cover around 428 kilometers in each direction and will stop at eight stations: Phaphund, Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad.

For passengers, the overnight schedule could make it easier to travel between cities without spending the entire day on the journey.

Pune-Beed Express Approved for Daily Operation

Passengers in Maharashtra will also get an expanded rail option after the Railway Board approved daily operation of the 11433/11434 Pune-Beed Express.

The 11433 Pune-Beed Express will leave Pune at 10:45 p.m. and reach Beed at 6:00 a.m. On the return trip, 11434 Beed-Pune Express will depart Beed at 9:30 p.m. and arrive in Pune at 5:20 a.m.

The service will stop at Uruli, Daund Chord Line, Shrigonda Road, Ahilyanagar, Narayandoh, New Ashti and Amalner Bhandyache.

The daily schedule will provide passengers with a regular rail connection between Pune and Beed, along with access to several intermediate locations.

Pratapnagar-Tanda Road MEMU to Run Daily

The Railway Board has also approved daily operation of the Pratapnagar-Tanda Road MEMU in Gujarat.

According to the Railway Board's September 9 circular, train 69105 Pratapnagar-Tanda Road MEMU will depart Pratapnagar at 5:00 a.m. and reach Tanda Road at 9:35 a.m.

The return service, 69106 Tanda Road-Pratapnagar MEMU, will leave Tanda Road at 5:05 p.m. and reach Pratapnagar at 9:25 p.m.

The route includes several stations in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, including Dabhoi, Chhuchhapura, Bodeli, Pavi, Chhota Udaipur, Padaliya Road, Motisadhali, Ambari Richavi, Alirajpur, Khandala, Jobat and Dekakund.

This service will strengthen local rail connectivity for passengers traveling between communities along the route.

Nine More Train Stoppages Approved

Along with the three train service decisions, the Railway Board has approved nine new stoppages for trains operating on different routes.

The newly approved stoppages are:

• 13257/13258 Danapur-Anand Vihar Terminal Jansadharan Express: Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh
• 14661/14662 Barmer-Jammu Tawi Express: Sambhar Lake
• 15013/15014 Jaisalmer-Kathgodam Ranikhet Express: Malakheda
• 22901/22902 Bandra (T)-Udaipur Express: Kapasan
• 17481/17482 Bilaspur-Tirupati Express: Norla Road
• 12859/12860 Mumbai CSMT-Howrah Geetanjali Express: Ghatshila
• 12129/12130 Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Express: Ghatshila
• 18189/18190 Tatanagar-Ernakulam Express: Manoharpur
• 14701/14702 Shri Ganganagar-Bandra (T) Amarpura Aravali Express: Gogamedi

These additional stops can provide passengers in the respective areas with more direct access to long-distance train services.

Railway Board Approval Does Not Mean Immediate Start

Passengers should note that the Railway Board's approval is an administrative step and does not mean that all the new services and stoppages have started immediately.

The concerned railway zones will issue separate notifications confirming the effective dates and operational details. Passengers should therefore check the latest official railway notification before making travel plans or booking tickets.

The new services and additional stoppages, once implemented, are expected to give passengers across several states more options for overnight travel, daily commuting and long-distance journeys.
