Passengers Can Book Shivneri Seats Through WhatsApp

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has introduced a new WhatsApp ticket-booking service for passengers traveling on the Dadar-Pune-Dadar Shivneri AC bus route. The pilot service began on September 24, 2026, and will remain available through October 23, 2026.

The new facility gives passengers a simpler way to reserve seats without visiting a ticket counter or waiting in a queue. During the trial period, the WhatsApp booking option will be available only for the Dadar-Pune-Dadar Shivneri premium AC bus service.

How to Book a Shivneri Bus Ticket on WhatsApp

Passengers who want to use the new service need to save the designated MSRTC WhatsApp number, 8097030022, on their mobile phone.

After saving the number, passengers can open WhatsApp and send a “Hi” message. The system will then provide instructions to guide users through the booking process. Passengers can follow the steps and select an available seat to complete their reservation.

The digital booking option is designed to make the ticketing process more convenient, particularly for commuters who frequently travel between Mumbai and Pune.

MSRTC Testing Digital Booking Service

The WhatsApp ticketing facility has been introduced on a pilot basis to understand how passengers respond to the new booking method. MSRTC will monitor its use during the one-month trial period before deciding whether to continue the service on a permanent basis.

The Dadar-Pune route is an important travel connection for daily commuters, business travelers and other passengers. By adding a mobile-based booking option, MSRTC aims to give travelers another convenient way to reserve their seats.

WhatsApp Booking May Expand to More Services

If the pilot receives a positive response, MSRTC may consider making WhatsApp ticket booking a permanent facility. The corporation could also look at extending the service to other Shivneri routes and additional bus services in the future.
