Maharashtra Strengthens Thane & Palghar With New Revenue Offices, Land Reforms and Infrastructure Development

Government Announces Administrative Expansion to Improve Public Services Across the Region

The Maharashtra government has announced a major administrative and infrastructure initiative for Thane and Palghar, introducing new revenue offices, land reforms, and public development projects aimed at improving governance and making government services more accessible to citizens.

The announcement was made by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule during the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maharajasva Samadhan Shibir held in Thane on July 29.

New Revenue Offices to Speed Up Citizen Services

To strengthen public administration, the state government will establish one Additional Collector’s Office and two new Tehsil Offices in Thane. The move is expected to improve revenue management, reduce processing time, and make essential government services more efficient for residents.

Speaking at the event, Minister Bawankule said the government is focused on ensuring that every eligible citizen receives the benefits of government schemes quickly and directly. He also praised the Thane district administration for its coordinated efforts across departments such as revenue, health, agriculture, women and child development, tribal development, sports, and animal husbandry.

Around 76,000 Families Benefit From Government Outreach Campaign

Officials highlighted the success of the Maharajasva Samadhan campaign, stating that nearly 76,000 families in Thane have already benefited during the first phase of the initiative.

The campaign has helped eligible residents receive benefits from multiple government schemes through a streamlined and citizen-focused approach, making public services more accessible across the district.

Officials said they plan to:
