MHADA Pune Lottery 2026 Receives Record 3.25 Lakh Applications for 4,462 Affordable Homes, Draw Expected in December

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has received an unprecedented response to its Pune housing lottery 2026, with more than 3.25 lakh applications submitted for 4,462 affordable homes. This is the highest number of applications received for any housing lottery in MHADA's history, reflecting the strong demand for affordable housing across Pune and its surrounding areas.

According to MHADA officials, the lottery is expected to take place in the first week of December 2026. The successful applicants' names will be announced on the same day at 6 PM.

MHADA Pune Lottery 2026 Records More Than 3.25 Lakh Applications

The Pune Board's latest housing lottery has attracted a total of 3,25,077 applications. Of these, 2,73,974 applicants have paid the required security deposit and completed the payment process to become eligible for the actual lottery draw.

The applicants have deposited approximately Rs 564 crore with MHADA, making this one of the authority's most significant housing lottery responses.

The latest figures also show a considerable increase compared to the previous lottery held in February, which received 2,15,847 applications. The number of applications has increased by nearly 58,000, highlighting the growing interest in affordable homes in Pune.

MHADA Announces 4,462 Homes Across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and PMRDA Areas

On August 24, MHADA's Pune Board announced its housing lottery under the 15% Social Housing Scheme and 20% Comprehensive Housing Scheme.

A total of 4,462 homes have been included in the lottery across different locations:

• Pune Municipal Corporation area: 1,406 homes
• Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area: 1,468 homes
• Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) area: 1,588 homes

Additionally, 558 homes remaining from the previous two housing lotteries have also been included in the current draw.

The lottery provides an opportunity for eligible applicants to purchase homes at affordable prices across Pune and nearby developing areas.

Application Fees and Deposits Generate Over Rs 564 Crore

MHADA had fixed an application fee of Rs 708 and a security deposit of Rs 20,000 for each application.

With 2,73,974 applicants completing the payment process, the authority has received a substantial amount through application fees and deposits. This strong participation reflects the continued demand for reasonably priced homes among people looking to own residential properties in the Pune region.

MHADA Pune Lottery 2026: When Will the Winners Be Announced?

The next stage of the lottery process will involve publishing a draft list of accepted applications. Applicants will get an opportunity to submit claims and objections if they find any errors or issues in the list.

After reviewing the objections, MHADA will publish the final list of eligible applicants.

The computerized lottery draw is scheduled for the first week of December 2026. The names of successful applicants are expected to be announced at 6 PM on the same day.
