Creator Economy Is Future’: CM Devendra Fadnavis Calls It Top Career Option While Launching Gen O-Pixel Play In Mumbai
Highlighting the rapid rise of digital careers, Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, said that the creator economy is emerging as one of the best career options for children, urging parents and educators to guide the younger generation toward it.
He made these remarks while inaugurating Gen O-Pixel Play, a major international festival celebrating gaming, creativity, and technology, in Mumbai.
Creator Economy Gaining Momentum
Speaking at the event, Fadnavis emphasised the rapid growth of the creator ecosystem, noting that it has opened up new-age opportunities beyond traditional professions.
“With the stage at which the creator economy is progressing, it is becoming one of the best career options. We will need to gradually guide our children towards it,” he said.
His statement reflects a broader shift in how careers in content creation, gaming, and digital media are being viewed across India.
Personal Touch: CM Recalls Childhood Gaming
Adding a lighter note to his address, Fadnavis shared that while the “game of politics” keeps him busy, he still enjoys gaming whenever he gets the chance.
He recalled trying a car racing game at the event, saying it reminded him of his childhood days when he used to play similar games.
“I could have been a champion… I really enjoy driving, but I never focused much on e-sports,” he said, drawing smiles from the audience.
