BJP Launches ‘Namo Seva – Ansuni Kahaniyan’ Street Plays Across Maharashtra to Highlight PM Modi’s Journey

Street Theatre Initiative Begins in Mumbai

The Maharashtra BJP has launched ‘Namo Seva – Ansuni Kahaniyan’, a statewide street play initiative aimed at bringing lesser-known stories from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life closer to people.

The Maharashtra launch took place at KC College in Mumbai in the presence of Maharashtra BJP president Ravindra Chavan. The initiative is part of the BJP’s nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, which marks 25 years of Modi’s public life.

Artists and organizers involved in the program were also recognized during the launch event.

Street Plays to Highlight Service and Leadership

The performances will focus on different episodes from Modi’s public journey, with themes including public service, dedication, patriotism and governance.

Artists from Pimpri-Chinchwad will present the plays at different locations across Maharashtra. Through street theatre, the organizers aim to make these stories accessible to a wider audience while also creating opportunities for emerging performers.

The initiative combines theatre with public outreach and is designed to communicate messages in a simple and engaging format.

10 Performances Planned in Every Assembly Constituency

The BJP has planned a major street play performance in every district of Maharashtra. In addition, each Assembly constituency is scheduled to host at least 10 performances by October 15, 2026.

The large-scale schedule is expected to take the performances to communities across the state and give local audiences an opportunity to watch the presentations in accessible public spaces.

Ravindra Chavan Highlights Modi’s Public Life

Speaking at the launch, Ravindra Chavan said Modi’s journey provides lessons in service, commitment, good governance and patriotism.

Chavan described the initiative as a meaningful effort to share these values with the public through street theatre. He also expressed confidence that the performances could receive a strong response across Maharashtra.

Drawing a comparison with the response to the film ‘Hanuman Ansh’, Chavan said he expected the street play initiative to create a record of its own while giving emerging artists a wider platform.

Leaders Attend Mumbai Launch

Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar, Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, Mumbai BJP president Amit Satam, Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde, BJP state general secretary Niranjan Davkhare and MLA Amit Gorkhe attended the launch.

Party office-bearers, workers, artists and citizens were also present at the Mumbai event.

With performances planned across districts and Assembly constituencies, ‘Namo Seva – Ansuni Kahaniyan’ is set to use street theatre as a statewide platform to present stories from Prime Minister Modi’s public life and engage audiences through live performances.
