Pune MHADA Lottery 2026: Application Deadline Extended to October 15 for 4,462 Homes
New Deadline Gives Applicants More Time to Complete Registration and EMD Payment
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has extended the application deadline for its Pune Board housing lottery covering 4,462 homes. Applicants will now have until October 15, 2026, to register, submit their applications, and pay the required earnest money deposit (EMD).
The extension comes after several applicants reported technical problems while completing the online application process. The festival season has also reportedly affected the pace of application verification.
With more time available, the Pune Board expects the number of eligible applications to increase in the coming weeks.
Pune MHADA Lottery Draw Postponed to November 25
The application process for the Pune Board lottery originally began on August 14, 2026, with September 15 set as the earlier deadline for applications.
Following the extension, the lottery draw has also been rescheduled. The draw that was earlier planned for October 13 will now be held on November 25, 2026.
The revised schedule gives applicants additional time to complete all required steps, including payment of the EMD.
82,223 Applications Received So Far
The Pune MHADA lottery has received a strong response from homebuyers. As of September, the authority had received 82,223 applications for the 4,462 homes offered through the current lottery.
Of these applications, 44,531 applicants had paid the required EMD and completed an important part of the application process.
Only applications for which the required deposit has been paid will be considered for the lottery draw. With the deadline now extended, the Pune Board expects the number of eligible applications to rise further. The total number of applications with completed EMD payments could reach around 100,000 before the revised deadline.
4,462 Homes Offered Under Two Housing Schemes
The current Pune MHADA lottery includes homes offered under two major housing schemes.
Under the 15% Social Housing Scheme, a total of 1,491 flats are available. Another 2,971 homes are being offered under the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme.
The inclusive housing scheme includes homes developed by private builders and made available through MHADA at comparatively affordable prices. These homes have attracted interest from buyers looking for more accessible housing options in Pune.
The current lottery is also significant because it is reportedly the final draw under the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme.
Extended Deadline Helps Applicants Facing Technical Issues
The extended deadline provides additional time for applicants who faced difficulties while registering or submitting their forms online.
Applicants who have not yet completed their applications can now use the additional time to finish registration, submit the required documents and pay the EMD by October 15, 2026.
MHADA, including its senior leadership such as Sanjeev Jaiswal, continues to oversee efforts aimed at improving housing access and making the application process more convenient for eligible homebuyers.
