MHADA Completes 256 MIG Homes at Waluj, Expanding Quality Housing in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
Ready-to-Occupy Homes Provide Comfortable Living for Middle-Income Families
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has completed 256 Middle Income Group (MIG) residential homes at MIDC Waluj in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, adding quality housing options for families in one of the city's growing areas.
The project is located at Plot No. R-7 in MIDC Waluj, about 11 kilometers from the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Main Bus Station and around 9 kilometers from the railway station. Its location gives residents convenient access to important transportation facilities and nearby areas.
256 Spacious 2BHK Homes Developed by MHADA
The project includes 256 MIG residential tenements, with each home offering approximately 60 square meters, or 646 square feet, of carpet area. The homes have been planned to provide practical and comfortable spaces for families.
Each apartment features a 2BHK layout with a living hall, balcony, two bedrooms, a kitchen and additional functional spaces. One of the bedrooms includes an attached toilet, while the kitchen also has a balcony that supports better ventilation and natural light.
The completion of the project and handover of possession to eligible beneficiaries marks an important step in providing ready-to-occupy housing for middle-income families in the Waluj area.
Durable Construction and Practical Home Features
The residential buildings have been constructed using an RCC prefabricated structure with a ground-plus-four-floor design. The buildings include 200 mm thick external walls made with ACC block work and 100 mm thick internal walls.
The apartments are equipped with vitrified tile flooring and skirting. The project uses 600x600 mm tiles for flooring and dado areas, giving the homes a clean and practical finish.
The apartments also feature aluminum three-track sliding windows with MS grills. Aluminum sliding doors have been provided in the living rooms to support convenient access and ventilation.
Functional Kitchens and Modern Electrical Facilities
The kitchens have been designed for everyday use and include a Kadappa kitchen platform and steel sink. This gives residents a ready-to-use cooking area from the time they move into their homes.
The main entrances are fitted with Polynom metal doors, adding to the functionality and security of the apartments. Electrical facilities, including open-type wiring and modular switches, have also been provided to meet the daily requirements of residents.
MHADA Strengthens Housing Opportunities in Waluj
The completion of the 256 MIG homes reflects MHADA's continued efforts to develop planned residential projects and expand access to quality housing for middle-income families. Under the leadership of MHADA Vice President and CEO, IAS Sanjeev Jaiswal, such housing initiatives support the broader goal of creating well-planned and accessible residential communities across Maharashtra.
The Waluj project provides eligible families with well-designed homes, essential amenities and convenient connectivity to key parts of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. With possession already handed over, the development represents a meaningful addition to the city's organized housing infrastructure.
