a major digital push, the Konkan Housing and Area Development Board (KHADB), a subsidiary of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), has launched an online portal titled ‘Book My Home’ for the direct sale of 13,395 unsold flats across various MHADA projects.
The initiative was officially rolled out by Mr. Sanjeev Jaiswal, Vice President and CEO of MHADA, on Wednesday—marking a key step toward tech-led transparency and buyer empowerment in affordable housing.
What Is ‘Book My Home’ Portal ?
The ‘Book My Home’ portal is a real-time flat booking system under the First Come, First Served (FCFS) model. What sets it apart is the buyer-centric approach: for the first time, applicants can view available flats live, choose their preferred unit and floor, and proceed with booking—all without manual intervention.

Where Are the Flats Located?
The 13,395 unsold flats are part of MHADA’s housing projects located in:
- Virar (Bolinj)
- Khoni
- Shirdhon
- Gotheghar
- Bhandarli
These areas fall within the extended regions of MMR, offering a mix of affordability and urban access. Prices range from ₹17 lakh to ₹30 lakh, depending on the unit size and location.
No Eligibility Barriers
In a significant relaxation, all eligibility conditions have been waived—except for flats falling under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). This opens up a much wider segment of the population to affordable housing opportunities in MMR.
