Sneh Asha Foundation Launches ‘Jeevan Kaushalya’ Initiative to Support Education, Digital Literacy, and Career Development
Palghar, October 13, 2026: Sneh Asha Foundation has launched a 12-week educational initiative in Palghar district to help tribal students build confidence, develop essential life skills, and explore future education and career opportunities. As part of the launch of its ‘Jeevan Kaushalya’ program in Vikramgad, the foundation distributed bicycles to 50 schoolgirls who walk long distances to attend classes.
The program was organized at S.K. Agro Tourism, where approximately 400 students participated. Padma Shri awardee and tribal folk artist Bhiklya Ladkya Dhinda Baba attended the event as the chief guest. Siddhi Chauhan Jaiswal, Founder and President of Sneh Asha Foundation, was also present.
The bicycle distribution was one of the key highlights of the event. For girls who face transportation challenges while traveling to school every day, the bicycles are expected to make their daily journeys easier and encourage them to continue their education regularly.
12-Week Program to Build Essential Life Skills
The ‘Jeevan Kaushalya’ program aims to prepare students for academic, personal, and professional challenges by providing practical learning opportunities. Students from Classes V to X at four tribal residential schools in Vikramgad and Jawhar talukas will participate in the initiative.
The program focuses on five key areas:
- Financial literacy and money management
- Functional English and communication skills
- Life skills and personal development
- Soft skills, teamwork, and leadership
- Career readiness and future education planning
Through interactive discussions, educational games, and activity-based learning, students will develop decision-making, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. The sessions will also encourage them to express their opinions confidently and communicate more effectively.
Financial literacy training will introduce students to saving, budgeting, and responsible money management. Career guidance sessions will provide information about higher education, vocational courses, skill-based training, and employment opportunities.
The initiative will also introduce students to digital skills and the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI), helping them understand emerging technologies and prepare for a changing world.
Four Tribal Residential Schools to Benefit
The program will be implemented at four residential schools across Palghar district. These include Karhe and Kurje residential schools in Vikramgad taluka, along with Dabhosa and Vinwal residential schools in Jawhar taluka.
Schools, teachers, parents, and members of the local community will participate in the initiative to support students throughout the learning process. This collaborative approach is intended to create a supportive environment where children can strengthen their skills and pursue their educational goals.
By combining classroom learning with practical activities, the foundation aims to help students gain knowledge that they can use in their daily lives and future careers.
