MHADA Digital Ganeshotsav 2026: DigiMHADA App Brings Ganeshotsav Celebrations to a New Digital Platform

MHADA Launches Digital Ganeshotsav Competition

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has launched “MHADA Digital Ganeshotsav 2026: Ganeshotsav at Your Home, Celebration with the MHADA Family!” through the DigiMHADA app.

The new initiative gives MHADA residents and Ganeshotsav mandals an opportunity to showcase their festive celebrations, creativity, cultural traditions and community activities on a common digital platform.

The program was launched under the leadership of IAS Sanjeev Jaiswal, Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of MHADA, with an emphasis on meaningful, inclusive and environmentally responsible Ganeshotsav celebrations.

Residents and Ganeshotsav Mandals Can Participate

Individual residents celebrating Ganeshotsav at home, as well as Ganeshotsav mandals functioning within MHADA divisional board areas, can take part in the competition.

Participants can register through the DigiMHADA app and submit basic information about their celebrations. They can also upload photographs showing their Ganesh idol, decorations and other special arrangements, along with a video of up to two minutes.

The competition will be organized according to the jurisdiction of MHADA's divisional boards. In Mumbai, separate categories will be maintained for Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban areas.

Green Ganeshotsav Takes Center Stage

One of the key highlights of MHADA Digital Ganeshotsav 2026 is the theme “Green Ganeshotsav, Clean Ganeshotsav.”

The initiative encourages residents and mandals to celebrate the festival while protecting the environment. Special attention will be given to celebrations that use natural or reusable materials and limit the use of plastic.

Participants will also be encouraged to adopt eco-friendly decorations, conserve water, manage Nirmalya properly and take steps to control noise pollution.

Social awareness messages communicated through decorations and other creative elements will also form an important part of the evaluation.

Creativity and Community Spirit to Shape Results

The competition will recognize celebrations that combine creativity with social responsibility and environmental awareness.

Entries will be assessed on several factors, including creativity, decoration, social commitment, environmental sustainability and overall presentation.

Public voting will play an important role in selecting winners. Outstanding celebrations will also be recognized across different categories.

Winners will receive prizes and mementoes as recognition of their efforts and participation.

DigiMHADA Connects MHADA Families Across Maharashtra

Through Digital Ganeshotsav 2026, MHADA aims to bring families, residents and Ganeshotsav mandals together while celebrating Maharashtra's rich cultural traditions.

The initiative also promotes environmental awareness, community participation and social unity by encouraging people to share responsible and creative ways of celebrating Ganeshotsav.

MHADA has invited residents, Ganeshotsav mandals and devotees to participate actively through the DigiMHADA app and showcase the unique spirit of their celebrations with communities across Maharashtra.
