Sanjeev Jaiswal Highlights Human-Centered Technology in Housing Development

Maharashtra’s housing sector can move toward a stronger and more modern future by bringing together advanced technology, quality construction and human sensitivity, MHADA Vice Chairman and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal said at the Engineers’ Day 2026 program in Bandra.

The event was organized to mark the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya and recognize the contribution of engineers to infrastructure and housing development.

Addressing engineers at the program, Jaiswal emphasized that future engineers need more than technical knowledge. He said they should understand how technology can be used to make everyday life easier and more comfortable for citizens.

Technology Should Work for People

Jaiswal highlighted the growing role of modern technology and artificial intelligence in decision-making and organizational processes. He noted that technology can help analyze large amounts of information and improve the speed of decisions.

At the same time, he stressed the importance of human experience, judgment and sensitivity. According to him, technological progress should go hand in hand with an understanding of people’s needs.

He said this balance will be especially important as MHADA continues to modernize its housing and construction activities.

Jaiswal said the next seven to eight years will be particularly important for MHADA and will bring new responsibilities and challenges for its engineering community.

He encouraged engineers to adapt their working methods to changing requirements and make greater use of technology and innovative ideas. He also called for a working culture that combines efficiency with quality and sensitivity toward citizens.

The message highlighted the important role engineers will play in shaping future housing projects and improving construction practices across Maharashtra.

Modern Construction Methods Can Improve Housing Quality

MHADA Chief Engineer Mahesh Jeswani congratulated engineers on Engineers’ Day and spoke about the contribution of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. He encouraged engineers to take inspiration from Visvesvaraya’s dedication and professional contribution.

Chief Engineer Anil Ankalgi highlighted quality, speed and accuracy as important elements of effective engineering work. He also noted that a positive approach can help improve organizational efficiency.

Chief Engineer-1 Dheerajkumar Pandirkar discussed the changes in MHADA’s construction practices over the years. He highlighted the potential of modern pre-stressing technology, which is widely used in infrastructure projects, for housing construction.

According to Pandirkar, adopting such technology in housing projects could support stronger, more durable and efficient construction while providing greater value to beneficiaries.

Promoted Engineers Recognized at the Event

The Engineers’ Day program also included a felicitation ceremony for engineers who had recently received promotions. Executive Engineer Rakesh Gavit inaugurated the program.
