The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) will hold its 22nd Lokshahi Din on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 12 noon. The public grievance meeting will take place in the auditorium on the fourth floor of MHADA headquarters in Bandra East, Mumbai, under the leadership of Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Sanjeev Jaiswal.
Sanjeev Jaiswal to Lead Public Grievance Meeting at MHADA Headquarters in Mumbai
Since January 2024, MHADA has organized Lokshahi Din on the second Monday of every month to help citizens raise their concerns and seek timely solutions. Under the leadership of IAS Sanjeev Jaiswal, the authority has successfully conducted 21 such meetings so far.
During these sessions, citizens can discuss their complaints directly with the concerned officials in an open and transparent setting. The initiative has helped resolve long-pending cases and made it easier for citizens to receive timely responses from the administration.
Before each meeting, Jaiswal also reviews the action taken by officials on complaints raised during previous sessions. This follow-up process encourages accountability and helps ensure that submitted grievances receive proper attention. The initiative aims to strengthen public trust by making MHADA's grievance redressal system more accessible, responsive, and transparent.
How Citizens Can Submit Applications for Lokshahi Din
MHADA has asked citizens who wish to participate in the October 12 meeting to submit their complaints using the prescribed application format. Applicants must send two copies of the completed application at least 15 days before the meeting.
The application form is available on the official MHADA website at under the “Lokshahi Din” section. Complaints and representations must relate to the applicant personally.
Applications involving matters already before courts, revenue or appeal proceedings, service-related issues, or establishment-related matters will not be accepted under this initiative. Applications that do not follow the prescribed format or lack the required supporting documents will also be excluded.
MHADA will not accept repeated applications on matters for which a final response has already been provided or is due to be provided. Complaints that are not personal in nature will also be excluded from the Lokshahi Din process.
Ineligible Applications to Be Forwarded to Concerned Departments
MHADA has clarified that applications that cannot be considered during Lokshahi Din will be forwarded to the relevant department for necessary action within eight days. A copy of the communication will also be sent to the applicant.
Through its monthly Lokshahi Din initiative, MHADA aims to provide citizens with a clear channel to raise personal grievances, improve communication with officials, and encourage timely administrative action. Citizens are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and submit their applications in the prescribed format within the required timeframe.
