Mumbai: With thousands of cricket fans expected to travel to Ahmedabad for the IPL 2026 Final, Akasa Air has announced special match-day flights from Mumbai and Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, offering supporters a convenient way to attend the much-anticipated showdown between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 31.

The special services have been introduced to cater to the surge in travel demand ahead of one of the biggest sporting events of the year. The flights are designed to allow fans to fly to Ahmedabad, watch the final live, and return home shortly after the match without the need for an overnight stay.

Akasa Air Special Flights Introduced for Cricket Fans

As excitement builds for the IPL 2026 final, airlines and transport operators are witnessing a sharp increase in bookings to Ahmedabad. To address this demand, Akasa Air has rolled out dedicated services connecting Mumbai and Bengaluru with Ahmedabad exclusively around the match schedule.

The airline said the initiative is aimed at providing seamless travel options for fans while helping them avoid soaring hotel prices and accommodation shortages typically seen during major IPL fixtures.

Sharing the announcement on social media platform X, Akasa Air said fans can travel to Ahmedabad comfortably, enjoy the championship clash and return home within hours after the match concludes.

Bengaluru–Ahmedabad Match-Day Schedule

The special Bengaluru-Ahmedabad flight will depart at 9:30 AM on May 31 and arrive in Ahmedabad at 11:50 AM, giving fans ample time to reach the stadium before the start of the final.

For the return journey, the flight will leave Ahmedabad at 4:10 AM on June 1 and land in Bengaluru at 6:35 AM, allowing passengers to return home early the next morning.

Akasa Air Mumbai–Ahmedabad Service for IPL Final

Cricket enthusiasts travelling from Mumbai will also benefit from a dedicated service scheduled for the occasion.

The flight will depart from Navi Mumbai International Airport at 2:45 PM on May 31 and arrive in Ahmedabad at 4:15 PM. Following the conclusion of the IPL final, the return flight will take off from Ahmedabad at 3:10 AM on June 1 and reach Navi Mumbai at 4:45 AM.
