Major Employment Drive To Connect Maharashtra Youth With Companies

Maharashtra is set to organize a statewide Rojgar Mahakumbh on September 29, 2026, giving young jobseekers a chance to connect directly with companies and explore employment opportunities based on their education, skills and abilities.

Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil has asked colleges across Maharashtra to actively participate in the initiative and help students connect with potential employers.

A meeting on the planning of the Rojgar Mahakumbh Maharashtra was held at Mantralaya under Patil’s leadership. Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Higher Education Director Dr. Shailendra Devlankar, Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education Director Dr. Pramod Naik, Maharashtra State Board of Art Education Director Vinod Dandage and Mumbai University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni were among the officials present.

Rojgar Mahakumbh To Focus On Skills And Employment

Minister Chandrakant Patil said higher education should prepare students not only to earn degrees but also to build skills that can help them secure jobs and develop successful careers.

He emphasized stronger cooperation between colleges, industries, companies and entrepreneurs. Better coordination, he said, can help educational institutions understand changing industry needs and prepare students with the skills employers are looking for.
