MHADA Headquarters Celebrates 80th Independence Day With Patriotic Spirit and Community Participation

Flag Hoisting Ceremony Held at MHADA Headquarters in Bandra East

Mumbai, August 15, 2026: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day at its headquarters in Bandra East with a strong spirit of patriotism, unity, and public service.

MHADA Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Sanjeev Jaiswal hoisted the national flag during the ceremony. Following the flag hoisting, personnel from Kherwadi Police Station, the Maharashtra Security Force, and MHADA security staff presented a ceremonial salute to the national flag.

The gathering then joined together for the national anthem and the Maharashtra state song. Senior officials, officers, employees, and staff members from various MHADA boards attended the celebration in large numbers.

Patriotic Performances Add Energy to Independence Day Celebration

The MHADA headquarters campus hosted a series of cultural activities to mark the national occasion. Officers and employees actively participated by presenting patriotic songs that reflected the spirit of freedom and national pride.

Children of MHADA employees also took part in the cultural program and showcased their talents. Their performances added a special family-oriented touch to the celebration and brought enthusiasm to the event.

Through the patriotic presentations, participants remembered the sacrifices and contributions of India’s freedom fighters. The program also highlighted the values of national unity, social responsibility, public service, and commitment to nation building.

‘Parisar Parichay’ Independence Day Special Edition Released

A key highlight of the celebration was the release of the Independence Day special edition of MHADA’s official publication, Parisar Parichay.

Sanjeev Jaiswal formally released the special edition during the ceremony. The publication covers important topics related to housing and also highlights MHADA’s development-focused, public-oriented, and citizen-centric initiatives.

The special edition provides readers with insights into MHADA’s efforts in the housing sector and its broader role in supporting urban development and public welfare.

MHADA Officials Extend Independence Day Greetings

Addressing the gathering, Milind Shambharkar, Chief Officer of the Mumbai Building Repairs and Reconstruction Board, extended Independence Day greetings to all MHADA officers, employees, and their family members.

He appreciated the enthusiastic participation of employees and their families and emphasized the importance of continuing to work with dedication toward public service and community development.

Senior Officials and Employees Attend the Ceremony

The event was attended by several senior MHADA officials, including Milind Shambharkar, Chief Officer of the Mumbai Building Repairs and Reconstruction Board; Bhagwan Chikne, Chairman of the Maharashtra Slum Tribunal; Chief Engineers Dhirajkumar Pandirkar and Anil Ankalgi; Secretary Praful Thakur; Deputy Chief Executive Officer Anil Wankhede; Satish Bharatiya, Chief Officer of the Mumbai Slum Improvement Board; Vishal Rathod, Chief Officer of the Konkan Housing and Area Development Board; and Umesh Wagh, Additional Chief Officer of the Mumbai Building Repairs and Reconstruction Board.

Deputy Chief Engineers Kishor Katwate and Bhushan Desai, Chief Public Relations Officer Vaishali Gadpale, Vigilance and Security Officer Mahesh Chavan, along with many other MHADA officers and employees, were also present.

Independence Day Message Focuses on Unity and Public Service
