Akshay Kumar Sells Two Apartments in Borivali East
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has sold two residential apartments in Mumbai’s Borivali East for a combined value of ₹7.10 crore, according to property registration documents reviewed by real estate data analytics firm CRE Matrix. The transactions were registered on June 2, 2026, and both units are located on the 35th floor of Tower B at Sky City in Borivali East.
The sale reflects the continued strength of Mumbai’s residential real estate market, especially in the western suburbs, where premium housing projects have seen steady interest from buyers and investors.
Details Of the Borivali Property Deal
The larger apartment, Flat No. 3504, has a carpet area of 1,101 sq ft. It was sold to Suvarna Rupesh Kumar Sakpal for ₹5.75 crore. The transaction included two car parking spaces and attracted a stamp duty payment of ₹28.75 lakh.
The second apartment, Flat No. 3503, has a carpet area of 252 sq ft. It was sold to the same buyer for ₹1.35 crore. This deal included one car parking space and attracted stamp duty of ₹6.75 lakh.
Together, the two apartments were sold for ₹7.10 crore, while the total stamp duty paid on both transactions stood at ₹35.50 lakh.
Akshay Kumar’s Investment Nearly Doubles in Value
Property records show that Akshay Kumar had purchased both apartments from Incline Realty Private Limited in November 2017. The larger unit was bought for ₹3 crore, while the smaller unit was purchased for around ₹67.55 lakh. This took the total acquisition cost to about ₹3.68 crore.
With the latest sale value of ₹7.10 crore, the properties have gained over ₹3.42 crore in value over nearly eight and a half years. This works out to nearly 93% appreciation from the original purchase price.
What The Deal Says About Mumbai’s Western Suburbs
The transaction comes at a time when Mumbai’s western suburbs continue to attract strong interest in premium residential projects. Borivali East, in particular, has seen demand due to better connectivity, large gated developments and growing preference for spacious homes within established neighborhoods.
Celebrity property deals often attract public attention, but this transaction also points to a larger trend. Premium homes in well-connected suburban locations are becoming important investment assets, not just end-use properties.
Sky City Borivali Remains a Premium Residential Address
The two apartments are located in Sky City, a residential project in Borivali East. The project has seen interest from high-net-worth buyers and continues to remain among the known premium developments in the western suburbs.
The sale also follows other reported property transactions by Akshay Kumar in Mumbai, including previous deals in Borivali and other locations. This suggests a larger portfolio-level real estate movement rather than a one-off sale.
Mumbai Real Estate Continues to Show Strong Value Growth
The deal highlights how Mumbai’s residential property market continues to create long-term value in select locations. In this case, the two apartments purchased in 2017 for about ₹3.68 crore have been sold in 2026 for ₹7.10 crore.
For investors, the transaction shows the importance of location, project quality and holding period. For the broader market, it underlines the continuing appeal of Mumbai’s premium residential segment, especially in the western suburbs.
